Jester and Son!
“Little Buddy” got a piece of art in the recent 9×9 show at SuckerPunch. This is his first official Art Show!!

I got a book on how to draw Space Art and followed the tutorial. This would have been so much easier in Photoshop but I think I just have to get familiar with the program.

Here’s another iPod drawing I made after watching a tutorial on youtube.

My friend Giorgio Viola made these sweet caricatures of the family for this years Christmas Card. This is too damn cool!!

I did some illustrations for the the book and can’t wait to see what they look like in print. The book will be released on October 20, 2009!

I added some Indy 166’s and some 60mm SPF wheels and this thing flies!!

I did this today while watching 3 episodes of Maverick. Jack Kelly and James Gardner ruled the west!

I took my son to the skatepark yesterday but couldn’t skate because my knee is jacked-up. I painted the deck instead.

I have a blank deck and am going to draw something on it. I came up with this yesterday.

Here’s a poster I created for a Christmas Party. The top image is the vector art and the bottom is colored in Photoshop. The elves were inspired by Rankin & Bass.

I drew all the fonts in Illustrator.

I started this image for the Gimmeshelter Art Show, but never finished it.

I was asked to help my friend paint a truck for his friend. I took my son along and he had fun throwing rocks around.

No it’s not a vibrator or a saxaphone! It’s The famous lightsaber of Obiwan Kenobi!

I was commissioned to do a painting for Steelouettes. A local Metalsmith.

As a broke student, I got a job at a local Karate Supply Place. The building was an old 2 story piece of crap with a lot of space. The owner wanted to paint the building and got a quote for $1200. This was to just to paint it solid green.

I told him that if he gave me $300 for paint, I’d put up some sweet murals for him.
It took me a couple days to finish the building, but it turned out pretty good.

I remember standing on the top of a 10 foot ladder which was siting atop the entrance awning which is 10 feet off the ground. I was face to face with the wall as I painted the front of the building. To get down from the awning, you had to drop onto a smaller ladder which was on the ground. There was about 2 feet of freefall before you could touch the smaller ladder. One time when I was going to lunch a piece of rotten molding broke off in my hands as I was climbing down. I fell onto the ladder and managed to not bust my ass. I came so close to a face plant on the cement.

Anyway, 10 years later, the building is being sold and torn down. I heard about this and ended up painting over a piece I did 10 years ago. I have to thank all the graff heads in H-Town for respecting the building for so long. They let all the pieces stand untouched for all these years. The building was even included on an art tour for local art spots.

I’m not really sad that the building is getting torn down, but I’ll miss the old eyesore and the little piece of myself that get’s torn down with it.

This piece was from 2001. Originally I made the character for the Derush T-Shirt contest. I made a print out of it soon after.
